RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Security Forces conducted intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Balochistan and North Waziristan agency as part of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday.
In a statement, the ISPR said that Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan and intelligence agencies conducted an IBO on terrorist hideout in Zhob, and apprehended a Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) facilitator.
The FC Balochistan and intelligence agencies also recovered explosive, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), weapons and ammunition which was dumped to carry out a terrorist activity in Quetta.
Separately, the Security Forces conducted an IBO in Mandi Khel near Dosali area of North Waziristan agency.
During the operation, the Security Forces recovered a large amount of weapons and ammonium including guns, mortars, rocket launchers, IEDs, explosive, communication equipment and extremist literature.
British envoy meets COAS
Meanwhile, the British High Commissioner in Pakistan Thomas Drew met the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, the ISPR said.
The ISPR said that during the meeting matters of mutual interest and regional security were discussed.
