RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The security forces conducted intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in South Waziristan and North Waziristan as part of the Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.
In a statement, the ISPR said that the IBOs were conducted in Patwelai Village in Ladha region of South Waziristan and Gharlamai area of North Waziristan.
The ISPR said that during operations, a huge quantity of ammunition, explosive, anti-tank mines, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), 81 Mor bombs, rockets of RPG 7, a large quantity of ammunition of 12.7 mm, 14.5 mm, grenades, detonating cords, accessories of various weapons were recovered.
It further said that the recovered arms, ammunition and explosive were hidden underground.
Separately, the security forces conducted an IBO in Sibbi area of Balochistan, and apprehended five suspected terrorists.
The ISPR said that weapons, ammunition and communication equipment were recovered.
