Islamabad, Pakistan: On the completion of four years of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, DND Thought Center has launched a Database of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, covering all incidents of terrorism, elimination of terrorists, sacrifices rendered by army personnel and citizens of Pakistan from February 22, 2017, to February 22, 2021.
Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad restored people’s confidence in the State and make terrorists completely ineffective. It was launched after Operation Zarb-e-Azb was concluded.
It may be mentioned that the Operation wasn’t area-specific; rather, it was carried out throughout the country under the two-pronged strategy of counter-terrorism and counter-violence with the support of people, which has produced positive results.

As many as 375,000 Intelligence Based Operations (IBOs) were carried out across the country since the start of the operation in 2017 and the State’s writ was restored over 7,500 square kilometers through this operation.
According to available data, 353 terrorists were killed and hundreds of others were arrested during the operation.
Over 5,000 threat alerts were neutralized before their materialization during and over 72,000 illegal weapons and five million ammunition were recovered.
Over 717 cases of arrested terrorists were referred to the Military Courts whereas 344 terrorists were awarded death sentences in these cases, and 58 of them were implemented and 106 other terrorists were given life imprisonment.
