RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The law enforcement agencies (LEAs) have apprehended an alleged facilitator of Afghanistan’s intelligence agency National Directorate of Security (NDS) from Balochistan, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday.

In a statement, the IPSR said that as part of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan and Secret Institutions conducted an operation in Sangan area on the basis of intelligence information.

During the operation, the ISPR said, that an alleged facilitator of Afghan intelligence agency was arrested.

The ISPR said that a heavy cache of ammunition and explosives, gun powder and communication devices were also recovered during the operation.

It further said that the people from Dera Murad Jamali voluntarily gave their ammunitions to FC Balochistan.

Pakistan has now long been asserting that the Afghan intelligence agencies in connivance with the Indian Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) has been involved in subversive activities in Pakistan particularly in restive Balochistan province.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s armed forces have also recently launched a four-point Khushal Balochistan programme, aimed at to bring the deprived province at par with other developed regions of the Country and end the militancy.

In a media briefing in Rawalpindi on Thursday, the Director General ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor told that as a result of Khushal Balochistan programme, over 2,000 Baloch nationalists have so far given up their arms.
