ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The 9th of Muharram is being observed throughout the Country on Saturday with due solemnity and sanctity to pay homage to the sacrifice rendered by Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions in Karbala.

In memory of martyrs of Karbala, Taazia and Zuljinah processions are being taken out in different parts of the Country.

Ulema and Zakireen are shedding light on the bright and candid teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his great companions. Meanwhile, elaborate security arrangements have been made to avoid any untoward incident during the mourning processions. In Islamabad, the main procession of Taazia and Zuljinah is being taken out from Markazi Imambargah Asna Ashri in G-6/2 and it will terminate at the same place after passing through the traditional route. The DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed himself is monitoring all the security measures. More than 4,000 personnel of Police, Rangers, FC, Special Branch, Traffic Police, and Bomb Disposal Squad have been deployed in the Federal Capital on security duties. In the view of security concerns, the mobile services will remain suspended in a few areas of the Federal Capital till the culmination of mourning procession. Furthermore, a team of Bomb Disposal Squad equipped with the latest technology will carry out the search in front of the procession. The video surveillance of the procession will be conducted through Safe City Cameras and Drone Cameras. Separately, to ensure the smooth flow of traffic in Islamabad, a special traffic plan for the procession of the 9th of Muharram-ul-Haram has also been chalked out.

Meanwhile, elaborate security arrangements have been made to avoid any untoward incident during the mourning processions.
