ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds is expected at isolated places of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan in next 24 hours however, mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country.

Rainfall is forecast in Upper KPK, Hazara divisions, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Weak seasonal low lies over southeast Balochistan. Monsoon has subdued due to non-incursion of monsoon currents over Pakistan.

A weak westerly trough lies over upper parts of the country, an official of Met office said.

In last 24 hours, weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country.

However, rain-thunderstorm occurred at isolated places of Malakand, Lahore divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Rainfall recorded during this time span was Punjab: Lahore (City 10mm, AP 02mm), Kasur 04mm, Mianwali 01mm, Sialkot Trace, KP: Kalam, Chitral, Pattan 01mm, GB: Gilgit Trace.

Maximum Temperatures recorded on Wednesday were Sh. Benazirabad, Sukkur, Turbat, Bhakkar, Noorpurthal 41øC, Dadu, Rohri, Dalbandin, Padidan, Larkana, Sibbi, Moenjodaro, Rahim Yar Khan 40øC, Faisalabad 38øC, Peshawar 37øC, Multan, Hyderabad 36øC, Quetta, Islamabad 35øC, Chitral, Muzaffarabad, Lahore 34øC, Dir, Karachi 33øC, Gilgit 31øC, Skardu, Kalat 30øC, Hunza 26øC and Murree 23øC.
