ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Caravan of disqualified Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif resumed its journey towards Lahore from Gujranwala on Saturday where it received tumultuous response on its arrival last evening.

Senior leaders of ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and a large number of supporters have been accompanying Nawaz Sharif since the rally began its Journey from Islamabad to Lahore via GT road on August 09.

In Lahore, welcome campus for the rally have been organized at Kamoki, Mureed Kay, Ferozwala and Imamia Colony whereas Datta Darbar will be the last point of Nawaz Sharif’s rally.

Earlier in the morning, heavy breakfast was brought in for Nawaz Sharif in Gujranwala ahead of leaving for Lahore.

Nawaz Sharif, who is famous for having traditional breakfast, enjoyed heavy breakfast during his stopover in Gujranwala. His traditional early morning meal consisted of Siri Paye and Maghz.

The stall of Halwa Poori and Chanay was put in place within the premises of his accommodation in Gujranwala.

Upon his arrival in Gujranwala on Friday evening, the former prime minister addressed a mammoth gathering, saying it was an irony that no elected prime minister had been allowed to complete his Constitutional term in the Country.

Nawaz Sharif said that not a shred of corruption was proved against him. He said that no one could oust him from people’s hearts.

The former prime minister also said that his love for the people of Pakistan was unprecedented.

The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
