RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Army Medical Corps (AMC) Major General Khawar Rahman has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General and appointed the Surgeon General of Pakistan army, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Monday.

 

 

Meanwhile in a tweet, the Director General ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor said that the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has expressed grief on the sad demise of Noor Hassan, a victim of obesity, weighing in at 330 kilograms who passed away in Lahore today.

“Will of Allah is to be done while one can only make an effort. May Allah bless the departed soul Aamen,” the COAS was quoted as saying by the director general ISPR.

Noor Hassan was earlier air lifted to Lahore for treatment at a private hospital.
