ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Indian security forces have committed 24 ceasefire violations at the Line of Control (LoC) and the Working Boundary, the Foreign Office said on Tuesday.
In a statement, the Foreign Office Spokesman Qazi Khalilullah said that last month 37 unprovoked ceasefire violations were committed by the Indian security forces at the LoC and the Working Boundary.
Meanwhile, the Deputy High Commissioner of India JP Singh was summoned to the Foreign Office on Tuesday to lodge a protest over the killing of Fareeda by Indian troops at the LoC in Jandrot Sector on Saturday.
Earlier in the day, the 28-year-old Fareeda, who hailed from village Nadheri of district Kotli and was shot in her belly by Indian troops at the LoC in Jandrot Sector on August 8, succumbed to her injuries at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalpindi.
The spokesman said that Pakistan also condemns the latest unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indian security forces at the LoC in Nakial sector near Kotli and Bhimber Gali sector in which Pakistani posts were targeted.
