MUZAFFARABAD, Pakistan: The Federal government has released Rs 3.3 billion funds for Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government in the head of annual development program, said a source in the finance department here on Tuesday.
The source said that recently a committee was constituted by the federal government headed by the Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal and also included representative of AJK government which took the latest decision.
The federal government was supposed to release 70% amount of total development budget allocated till the March 31 which was released two months earlier, he added.
The Azad Jammu and Kashmir government has allocated Rs 11.5 billion for annual development program in the current fiscal year’s budget.
