ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Rain in most parts of the country including Islamabad and Murree has turned weather pleasant which is giving relief to the citizens from heat wave conditions.

The heat-stricken Punjab residents took a sigh of relief as weather that was extremely hot, became pleasant after a spell of rain.

According to meteorological department (PMD), most parts of Punjab including Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, and Islamabad have received rainfall.

Lahoris are observing cloudy and windy weather as rain is likely in the evening.

The maximum temperature in Lahore would reduce to 42 degrees while the minimum would be expected as 27 degrees, a private news channel reported.

In Multan, dry and hot weather is recorded while the weather experts said that rainy season would be started in July in the metropolis.

On the other hand, rain-thunderstorm with strong gusty winds is expected at scattered places of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan divisions), Islamabad, upper Punjab (Sargodha, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Lahore divisions), FATA, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir.

Today’s highest maximum temperatures: Sibbi , Jacobabad, Sh Benazirabad, Bhakkar 50øC, Larkana, Moenjodaro, Noorpul Thal 49øC, Dadu, Sukkur, Rohri, Padidan 48øC, R.Y. Khan, Dera Ismail Khan 47øC.
