RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Pakistan army on Monday announced new promotions and appointments.

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that two Major Generals including Major General Ali Amir Awan and Major General Muhammad Saeed have been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Generals.

   

It said that Lieutenant General Sahir Shamshad Mirza has been appointed as the Chief of General Staff; Lt General Nadeem Zaki Manj as the Director General Strategic Plans Division (DG SPD); Lt General Muhammad Amir as the Adjutant General; and Lt General Shaheen Mazhar Mehmood as the Commander Mangla Corps.

In addition, Lieutenant General Nauman Mahmood has been appointed as the Commander Peshawar Corps, Lt General Muhammad Saeed as the President National Defence University (NDU), and Lt General Ali Amir Awan appointed as the IG C & IT.
