Some interesting information that is alarming for Pakistan has surfaced in intelligence circles. According to available information, Israeli intelligence officials were present in the meeting of Afghan Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi with Indian NSA Ajit Doval that took place in New Delhi on October 10, 2025.
Further information suggests that this meeting was neither the first of its kind nor news for global intelligence sniffers, because several joint meetings of Afghan Taliban have taken place in which Israeli intelligence officials were present, but such meetings had taken place in third countries, and the October 10 meeting was the first of its kind that took place in India, attended by the Afghan Taliban Interim Foreign Minister and Israeli intelligence officials.

Sources revealed that Anand Prakash, Joint Secretary of the Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iran (PAI) Division at India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), arranged a meeting of Israeli intelligence officials with Afghanistan’s Acting Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, in Kabul recently. There is unconfirmed information available that Taliban-appointed Acting Consul General in Mumbai, Dr. Ikramuddin Kamil, had also held several meetings with Israeli officials in a New Delhi as well as in a Gulf country.

It is pertinent to mention that India’s recent diplomatic interactions with the Taliban, facilitated by the Biden administration in January 2025 through a Gulf country just before the end of Biden’s tenure, are now becoming a strategic partnership among India, Israel, and Afghanistan, and this development raises alarms in Islamabad, which is cautious to raise this issue publicly due to diplomatic constraints, with the hope that the Afghan Taliban may review this Indo-Israel-Afghan alliance. However, retired diplomats in Islamabad believe that Pakistan is closely observing such exchanges among Israel, India, and the Taliban, as they could have major implications for regional security and diplomacy.
Diplomatic circles believe that India currently enjoys better relations with Afghanistan than during the tenures of Hamid Karzai and Ashraf Ghani, both of whom exercised caution with India to avoid provoking Pakistan. Under the Taliban, however, relations have flourished with a new dimension of the presence of the Israeli factor. There are reasons to believe that Afghan Taliban, who are openly hosting, funding, and supporting Pakistan’s adversaries, including the TTP, BLA, and Majeed Brigade, are doing so not only with Indian support; rather, the Israeli factor is very strongly operating against Pakistan. But Pakistan’s options remain constrained, as friendly countries urge a “policy of restraint” in its dealings with Afghanistan.
Diplomatic circles claim Afghan–India–Israel relations accelerated after Pakistan’s military victory in the May 2025 conflict, which Pakistan refers to as “Marka-e-Haq.” India’s diplomatic engagement has since expanded.
When asked to comment, a former senior intelligence officer with decades of experience in Afghan affairs warned that Pakistan must not forget historical precedents. From the 1950s through the early 2000s, Afghan administrations — through KHAD and later the NDS — supported ethnic nationalism and terrorist groups to destabilize Pakistan. The Taliban’s current policies, he argued, represent a continuation of this trend, with India’s involvement reinforcing longstanding patterns.
A senior journalist from Islamabad, Aijaz Ahmed, who has been covering security and diplomatic corps, commenting on the present phase of Pak–Afghan relations, said:
With the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, Taliban 2.0 is no different from its 1995–2000 version. Even then, despite Pakistan’s full support in bringing them to power, the Taliban ignored Pakistan’s demands and maintained covert ties with Indian intelligence. Today, those ties are overt, and the Taliban openly demonstrate their close relations with India, refusing to sacrifice them for Pakistan. Their blunt support for groups like the TTP, including funding and operational backing, makes this era more dangerous than before. Pakistan’s options are limited against this aggressive Afghan policy. The end of America’s direct presence has left a fractured landscape, and India is exploiting it fully. History reminds us of the continuity — whether KHAD, NDS, or today’s GDI — Afghan intelligence has always shifted allegiances, often at Pakistan’s expense.
When asked to comment, an official in Islamabad who is not authorized to talk to the media shared very important information on the condition of anonymity.
He said:
The Indo-Afghan-Israel nexus is no longer a secret — it is an open wound in the geopolitics of South Asia. There was only one country in the entire world that stood shamelessly with Israel amidst the Gaza carnage, and that was India. Every other nation, no matter how cautious or complicit, refused to publicly defend the genocide. India did. After Marqa-e-Haq and Bunyan-un-Marsus, India found itself internationally isolated. No ally, no partner — except one. Israel.
A retired diplomat who served in India a decade ago, while talking to DND News Agency, was of the view that it was Israel that kept India diplomatically alive, and it was Israel that shared intelligence, strategy, and ambition. But that alliance did not end there. In October, the isolation cracked — not by the West, but by Afghanistan.
He maintained that Afghanistan, which has always been a market of mercenaries, has now again become a proxy state not just of India, but of Israel too.
While sharing interesting information, the former diplomat said that few in the intelligence world knew about the Israeli city of Ra’anana, a strange enclave where the majority of residents were Afghans. Dari was spoken in its cafés, Afghani cuisine filled its streets, and its schools were filled with children of those who belonged to Afghanistan.

It is pertinent to mention that Israeli organizations such as IsraAID and the Shea Foundation have been working inside Afghanistan since 2021. These NGOs are active in Khost, Kunar, and Paktika — the provinces adjacent to Pakistan and considered launchpads of the TTP. The financial veins of the Afghan establishment pulsed with Israeli money. Sylvan Adams, the so-called “Ambassador of Israel to the World,” a billionaire philanthropist and figurehead of the Jewish Congress, was a quiet but powerful benefactor. His donations to Afghan development initiatives were recorded as humanitarian; their intent was far more strategic.
In January 2022, Israel’s Foreign Ministry transferred $500,000 through the UNHCR for Afghan refugees, at least officially. Unofficially, it was the first sign of open Israeli involvement in the Afghan theatre. Not long after, Afghan spokesman Sohail Shaheen appeared on Israeli state television “KAN TV,” suggesting “normalization of ties” with Israel.
And then came the most telling sign when Siraj-ud-Din Haqqani made his visit to a Gulf country. Intelligence whispers claimed he met Israeli intermediaries there. After all, how else could one explain that a man with a $10 million U.S. bounty on his head was welcomed in this Gulf country, a close ally of the Biden administration? The world saw it as diplomacy; those who knew better saw it as coordination — the unveiling of a shadow pact, stitched together by money, drug trade, and terrorism. Piece by piece, the pattern was becoming impossible to ignore: India and Afghanistan were the visible hands, while Israel remained the invisible architect — the financier, the strategist, the silent partner in a new regional front. Together, they formed a triad of pressure, proxy, and plan to create troubles for Pakistan.

Reports suggest that recent geopolitical tensions, including Iran’s deportation of 600,000 Afghan migrants in July 2025 amid a post-war crackdown, highlight ongoing foreign influence, as Iranian intelligence networks believe that Indians and Afghans were collaborating to compromise Iran’s security at the instruction of Israel. Several reports suggest that Tehran has declared its intention to remove the millions of undocumented Afghans. The International Organisation for Migration (IOM) said 508,426 Afghans had already left Iran via the Iranian-Afghan border between June 24 and July 9. Evidence has emerged that Afghan migrants had been assisting Israel and provided ground information to Israel and India during and before the Israeli attack on Iran, and the killings of top Iranian leadership and scientists are linked with the Indo-Afghan nexus working for Israel in Iran.
