NationalSC upholds sentence awarded to convict in Khadija Siddiqui Murder Attempt Case

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday upheld the sentence of five years imprisonment awarded to the convict Shah Hussain in Khadija Siddiqui Murder Attempt Case by the District and Sessions Judge Lahore.

A three-judge bench of the Apex Court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa took up the appeal by applicant Khadija Siddiqui against the decision of Lahore High Court (LHC) in Islamabad on Wednesday.

It may be recalled that the LHC had acquitted accused Shah Hussain after being sentenced by the District and Sessions Judge.

The apex Court annulled the decision of the Lahore High Court.

The Convict Shah Husain was arrested by the police from the Court premises on the orders of the Apex Court.
