NationalKartarpur Corridor Opening: Excellent security arrangements ensured for Sikh Pilgrims

LAHORE, Pakistan: As the Kartarpur Corridor Opening is inching closer, the Punjab government has ensured excellent security arrangements on the arrival of Sikh Yatrees (Pilgrims).

Hundreds of Sikh Yatrees from across the world including India have arrived in Pakistan to take part in 550th Birth Anniversary Celebrations of their spiritual leader Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

Talking to media representatives in Lahore on Thursday, the Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Mian Aslam Iqbal said that adequate security arrangements have been made for Sikh Yatrees.

The information minister said that all minorities enjoy full religious freedom in Pakistan. He said that Islam also teaches us a lesson of equality and love with humanity.

The significance of Baba Guru Nanak’s 550th Birth Anniversary soared manifold after it was adjoined with the Opening of Kartarpur Corridor, a four-kilometer long road network connecting the two Countries and allowing Indian Yatrees to have a visa-free access to Gurdwara Dera Sahib at Kartarpur in Narowal district of Pakistani Punjab.
