NationalHassanabdal-Havelain Motorway to become operational by December 2017

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Work on Hassanabdal- Havelian Motorway also known as Hazara Motorway is in full swing and it will become operational by December 2017.

Talking to the state-run news agency, an official of National Highway Authority (NHA) said that work on the first two packages would be completed by March 2017 while the package III would be completed by December next year.

He said that the 59 km Burhan-Havelian section of motorway forming part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor would cast Rs 30 billion.

To a question, he said that the Burhan-Havelian section starts from near Burhan Inter Change of the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway (M-1) and concludes at Havelian. He said that the length of the package I was about 20 kilometer, of second 19 km and the third 19 km.

He said that the construction of the motorway will change the destiny of the people of the area and usher in a new era of progress and prosperity.
