NationalNation Celebrates Pakistan's 78th Independence Day

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The nation is celebrating Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day on Wednesday with a renewed pledge to work with the spirit of Pakistan Movement to make the Country a true Islamic welfare state.

The Day dawned with 31-gun salute at the Federal Capital and 21-gun salute at the Provincial Headquarters.

Special prayers were offered in mosques at dawn for peace, solidarity and prosperity of the Country.

The main feature of the celebrations will be a national flag hoisting ceremony in Islamabad.

Similar flag hoisting ceremonies will also be held at provincial, divisional and district headquarters level throughout the Country.

Meanwhile, roadside stalls selling flags, badges, stickers and clothes for adults and children have been set up in all Cities of the Country.

The national flag has been hoisted on the roofs of different public buildings while various public and private buildings have also been decorated with colourful lights.

Earlier in a post on X on the eve of Independence night, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif reaffirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to ensure development and prosperity of Pakistan.

The prime minister emphasized the government’s dedication to implementing reforms and continuous efforts to enhance the nation’s future.
