Earlier while speaking on the floor of the National Assembly on Tuesday, Noor Alam Khan said that under the Constitution, no Court can seek proceedings of the Parliament; however, he added that the Public Accounts Committee has the authority to seek records of the accounts of Courts and other institutions.

The Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif said that the Supreme Court has sought proceedings of this house which are not hidden from anybody. He said that we should provide the Court with the proceedings but the Parliament should also seek record of their matters.

Earlier in its meeting held on March 07, the PAC ordered the Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) to audit the Supreme Court’s budget and submit a comprehensive report on salaries, perks and privileges, and plots allotted to judges of the apex court.
