ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Minister of State for Energy (Petroleum Division) Musadik Masood Malik has told the National Assembly that there is no gas load shedding in Bhara Kahu area of Islamabad.
Replying to a question in writing, Musadik Malik told the House on Monday that the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has reported that no load shedding is carried out at Bhara Kahu during 07:00 am to 07:00 pm.
The minister told that the company provides uninterrupted gas supply to all consumers during cooking hours (i.e. 06:00 am to 09:00 am, 12:00 pm to 02:00 pm and 06:00 pm to 09:00 pm) in compliance with the government approved policy to facilitate the domestic consumers.
The House was apprised that the SNGPL is providing gas to its 21,324 consumers in the locality of Bhara Kahu through widely spread gas pipeline network ranging from 1″ to 8″ dia.
It was told that if any specific consumer is having issue of low gas pressure then the SNGPL can check in detail whether that consumer is facing the issue due to being at tail end of gas network or otherwise.
Furthermore, it was told that consumers facing low pressure problem may lodge complaints on toll free No. 1199 for addressing the same, adding that the SNGPL’s emergency teams are available round the clock to resolve such issues if any.
