Political DiscourseMushaal urges Pakistan to adopt an offensive policy, scrap the Shimla accord

Press Release: Mushaal Hussein Mullick, Chairperson of the Peace and Culture Organization, emphatically stated that Pakistan must adopt a proactive approach and shift from a defensive to an offensive strategy to effectively combat the rising extremism of RSS-driven India.
Addressing a press conference on Saturday, Mushaal, the wife of unlawfully imprisoned senior Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik, warned that extremist India was becoming a grave threat to both regional and global peace.
The Chairperson emphasized that Pakistan should withdraw from the Shimla Agreement forthwith, as the decades-old accord had utterly failed to deliver justice for Kashmiris despite the passage of five decades.
She asserted that the agreement badly failed to serve its purpose and proved counterproductive for Kashmiris, as instead of upholding peace and honoring Kashmiris’ right to self-determination, the supremacist Hindutva regime further escalated its war crimes and human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) to silence the dissenting voices.
Speaking on the hardships faced by divided families, she stated that the extremist Indian government has not only intensified its systematic genocide of Kashmiris under the pretext of the staged Pahalgam incident but is also forcibly deporting women who married in Pakistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir—even after they had lived in Indian-occupied Kashmir for decades.
Mushaal lamented that the Hindutva regime was ruthlessly tearing families apart, subjecting innocent children to the trauma of forced separation from their mothers. The Hurriyat leader further stated that the innocent Kashmiri men, women, and children were being subjected to state-sponsored terrorism, enforced disappearances, and extrajudicial killings—yet, ironically, the entire world remains a silent and complicit spectator.
She went on to say that in the aftermath of the RSS-inspired fascist regime’s unilateral suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, Pakistan should also adopt an aggressive approach and exit from the Shimla Agreement as a tit-for-tat response, as the accord has entirely eroded the legal and moral basis for continued compliance.

The Chairperson stated that India has shredded the principle of bilateralism by unilaterally distorting the nature of the Kashmir dispute through unconstitutional actions, arguing that it is now imperative for Pakistan to urgently re-engage with the United Nations and bring the Kashmir issue back to the global stage.
Mushaal raised the alarm that the supremacist Indian government was once again orchestrating a false flag operation – a dangerous provocation that could ignite a catastrophic nuclear conflict in the region.
The Hurriyat leader urged the international community and global powers to play more proactive role to settle the decades-old Kashmir dispute before the situation spirals out of control. Mushaal warned that India’s belligerence was not just a threat to Pakistan but to regional stability.
Mushaal disclosed that it had long been part of India’s playbook and strategic doctrine to orchestrate false flag operations in order to justify proxy wars inside Pakistan. She stressed that the international community, UN bodies and human right organizations must wake up to India’s rising fascist tendency and should take practical steps to rein in its ongoing war crimes and unbated human right violations in the occupied valley and ensure durable and lasting solution to the world’s longest dispute.
