Mushaal Mullick - Mushaal Hussein Mullick, the wife of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman Yasin Malik, has termed the use of brute force on Muharram processions and indiscriminate pellet firing on mourners in Srinagar, Budgam and other areas of the Indian Occupied Kashmir as the worst kind of state terrorism. In a statement on Monday, the Chairperson Peace and Culture Organisation strongly condemned the new spate of killings by Indian troops in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). Mushaal Mullick said that Indian state terrorism would not deter Kashmiris from pursuing their long-cherished goal for which they have offered unprecedented sacrifices. She said that the Kashmiri youth laid down their precious lives for the sacred cause of freedom and vowed that their sacrifices wouldn’t go to waste, as these martyrs would always serve as a beacon for generations to come. Mushaal said that India is constantly violating the basic human rights of Kashmiris while the international community has maintained a criminal silence on Indian crimes, which is alarming. She also condemned raids and mass arrests of youth in Kashmir and called on the United Nations to increase pressure on India to stop human rights abuses in the territory. She said that the brutal use of force by Indian troops on mourners in Budgam and Srinagar and the arrest of a large number of mourners is blatant interference in religious matters. The Chairperson demanded that the human rights organizations and UN bodies should take notice of Indian forces unabated barbarism and rising state terrorism.
