CAIRO, Egypt: An Egyptian court has said that it will announce verdict in the murder trial of the ousted president Hosni Mubarak on September 27.
The 86-year-old Mubarak defended his 30-year rule in Egypt during Wednesday’s hearing in a Cairo court.
Mubarak denied that he ordered the security forces to kill protesters during the 18-day uprising that toppled him in 2011.
The ousted Egyptian president and his seven security aides are accused of involvement in the deaths of hundreds of protesters during Egypt’s 2011 uprising.
