CAIRO: Granting the armed forces the right to apprehend civilians and assist the police to maintain law and order, Egyptian cabinet on Monday gave its approval to a draft law, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.
The initiative was taken after anti-government protests in the country claimed over fifty lives in a span of five days.
The army would “behave like a police force” which means that captives wouldn’t go to a military court, in fact they would go to a civilian court, sources said.
