Many countries warn citizens against travel to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: As political uncertainty prevails in the country with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) and the Pakistan Awami Tehreek’s (PTI) long marches against the incumbent government, many countries in the world have warned theirs citizens to not travel to Pakistan.

The media reports said that those countries which issued travel advisories to their citizens alerting them not to travel to Pakistan include the United States, the United Kingdom, some European countries and some countries from Asia-Pacific region.

These countries have also directed their diplomats to remain confined to their residences in Islamabad and not to move to any political event in Islamabad due to serious security threats to such gatherings.

“The diplomats have also been directed to move to Karachi to their respective consulate generals in case security situation in Islamabad became volatile,’ Dawn reported citing a diplomatic source.
