KARACHI, Pakistan: President Mamnoon Hussain has underlined the need for promotion of education to address the root causes of extremism and terrorism.

In his address at a function in Karachi on Saturday, he emphasized that there is a need to address the causes that actually give birth to extremism and terrorism.

The president said that situation has started returning to normalcy as a result of successful operation launched by the armed forces in tribal areas and other parts of the country.

Mamnoon Hussain said that the government is alive to the situation and has firmed up policies to equip the youth with contemporary education.



President Mamnoon said that the future of youth is very dear to us; therefore, no negligence will be meted out to the provision of best possible education to them.

The president said that given the opportunities that will be created by the implementation of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), there is need to train the youth in different demand driven skills so that they could fully benefit from the multi-billion dollar project.
