Elections 2013Khushbakht Shujaat demands re-election in Karachi’s NA-250

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Khushbakht Shujaat on Monday demanded that re-election be held in Karachi’s NA-250constituency, adding that elections should not be held only on certain polling stations for the constituency but on all.

She was the most affected on account of the maladministration during elections in NA-250, Shujaat said in a press conference in Karachi on Monday.

The MQM leader said that although she too had evidence of rigging done by her opponents, she was not going to indulge in the politics of blame.

Shujaat further said that a re-election for the seat would reveal who the people wanted to choose as their representative.

Earlier on Sunday, Election Commission’s Secretary Ishtiaq Ahmad said re-polling would be held on 43 polling stations of NA-250 in 10 days’ time.
