TASHKENT, Uzbekistan: The Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif led a delegation from Pakistan to attend the Council of Defence Ministers of SCO Countries in Tashkent.

While speaking during the Conference, he highlighted the significance of peace in Afghanistan and its importance for Pakistan.

   

The defence minister also highlighted the relevance of multilateral organizations and underlined the need for strengthening UN structure.

Khawaja Asif informed the audience that the United Nations should play its active role in the resolution of all outstanding issues faced by the world. He laid special emphasis on resolution of Kashmir issue according to the resolutions of UN.

Present on the occasion were Defence Ministers of Russia, China, India, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
