KARACHI: On-going tussle over dues between KMC and KESC took an ugly turn on Tuesday when the former locked the doors of KESC’s offices located at Civic Centre, Karachi.

The move by KMC left stranded about 600 KESC’s employees who were unable to reach their office. Work at KESC’s call centre was also affected due to which consumers are also suffering.

KMC has also reportedly canceled the allotment of land leased out to KESC in Baldia.

The KMC’s move came after KESC reportedly suspended power supply of various KMC installations over non-payment of dues of around 170 million.
