  • Mushaal lauds UN body for belying Modi’s claim on Kashmir
  • Says India use of brutal tactics to stifle political dissent won’t work

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Mushaal Hussein Mullick, the wife of Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Yasin Malik, eulogized the World Health Organization (WHO) for showing Jammu Kashmir including Ladakh a separate entity from India, negating fascist Narendra Modi-led Indian government’s claim on the territory.

Mushaal, who is also Chairperson of Peace and Culture Organization, in a statement on Monday, said that the UN body deserved all praise for taking a bold and righteous stand without any pressure from the bloodthirsty Hindutva regime.

The WHO in a colour-coded world map posted on its official website depicts India in blue colour, while Jammu and Kashmir including Ladakh is marked with gray colour.

The world map on the WHO website shows India and Jammu Kashmir as separate entities which according to WHO spokesman is as per the guidelines provided by the United Nations.

Mushaal said that the WHO map vindicated the stance of the Kashmiri people that India unlawfully and forcefully occupied the scenic valley.

However, she lamented that unfortunately despite the fact world powers and UN bodies accepting the bitter reality don’t have the audacity to take bold and decisive actions to honour their commitments to implement their resolutions regarding Kashmir to resolve the decades-long dispute once and for all.

Speaking about the brutalities and state barbarism unleashed by the Modi government, the Chairperson said that black laws have been enforced in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir that empowered its troops to use force against innocent Kashmiris with impunity to suppress their sentiment for freedom.

She said the draconian laws like Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) give Indian troops the license to kill and stifle political dissent in the occupied territory.

Mushaal said that thousands of Kashmiris including her husband are presently languishing in Indian prisons under black laws, who are being tortured ruthlessly.

However, she vowed that the bloodthirsty Modi could use all tools of barbarism but couldn’t silence the voices of freedom fighters, who she said, would take the just movement to a logical end.
