KashmirKashmiri leader Yasin Malik goes to hunger strike till death

The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman Yasin Malik, incarcerated in the Indian Tihar Jail, has announced to go on hunger strike from today (July 22, 2022) for an indefinite period.

Sharing her husband Yasin Malik’s letter announcing the fast unto death from July 22 in the Indian Tihar Jail Death Cell against the injustice being meted against him in Indian kangaroo courts, Mushaal Hussein Mullick wrote on Twitter that “He has left his case to God Almighty; this world doesn’t belong to Kashmiris #Stand4YasinMalik.”

Meanwhile in a Tweet on Friday, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the continued persecution of Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik by India is a part of plan to deprive people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) of their representative voices.

The prime minister voiced his concerns over the fabricated cases and sham trials of the Kashmiri leaders by India.

Shahbaz Sharif said that impunity with which India is violating human rights of political workers should alarm right defenders.
