ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will organize an International Kashmir Convention in Islamabad in 2021.

Talking to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) lawmaker and the Member of the Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Naureen Farooq Ibrahim in Islamabad on Saturday, the Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser said that the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs has been given directions for the conduct of an International Kashmir Convention this year.

Asad Qaiser reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to continue to back the just struggle of Kashmiris for their right to self-determination. He said that Kashmir is an unfinished agenda of the partition of the sub-continent and its resolution is imperative for regional peace and stability.

The Speaker said that India’s 5th August 2019 illegal steps in the occupied territory have exposed its true face before the world.

In the meeting, the Speaker and the Member Kashmir Committee Naureen Farooq also discussed the formation of an All Parties Parliamentary Group to highlight the Kashmir dispute at the international level.
