ISLAMABAD: Mushaal Hussein Mallick, the wife of detained Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik, lashed out at the former Prime Ministers Sheikh Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti, who she said are the products of dynastic politics and always came to power in support of Delhi.

Mushaal, who is also the Chairperson of Peace and Culture Organization said in a statement on Tuesday, they always passed draconian laws in support of Indian occupation forces for vested political interests, giving them immunity and clean chit through assembly to unleash a wave of barbarism in the occupied valley.

She suggested that Kashmiri should be made head of the Kashmir committee because only a Kashmiri could fight the case of Kashmir effectively at the global stage.

She that when Kashmir policy is being formulated, maximum inputs should be sought from people of the disputed region as no one other than a person from the region could have a better understanding of the issue.

She also said that most of the ambassadors on Kashmir must be from the Kashmir region or people who have great expertise and in-depth knowledge of the area.

Mushaal said that the Pakistan Foreign Office should have a legal cell because it was evident that India would bring about the constitutional changes. However, she lamented, we couldn’t counter the Indian illegitimate and unconstitutional move due to the absence of legal cell and the required documents.

She said that Pakistan should lobby for Kashmir cause through Kashmiri people at UN and other World forms because no one other than Kashmiris could raise the issue more effectively and emphatically at the global stage.

She said, “We all his family and followers are greatly worried for Yasin Malik, chief of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) because his health is quite fragile.

They were not in contact with him for the last one and a half years, She said that the occupation authorities further intensified restrictions after the Coronavirus, as prior it Yasin’s mother and sister were allowed to see him once in a month in a glass room.

She said that the Hurriyat leaders especially Yasin Malik have a firm stance that the long-lasting and durable solution of the Kashmir issue is only possible to take onboard all stakeholder including Pakistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), armed freedom fighters, and political parties.

Mushaal said that the resolution of the Kashmir dispute is inevitable because world peace is directly linked to it.

Mushaal said the international community including the United Nations should take notice of India’s atrocities on unarmed Kashmiris and put pressure on India to resolve the Kashmir dispute through the UN resolutions so that permanent peace could be established in the region.
