DAVOS, Switzerland: The Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar Ul Haq Kakar met with the Prime Minister of Belgium Alexander De Croo on Wednesday on the sidelines of the 54th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.

The two leaders noted the completion of 75 years of establishment of diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Belgium, and expressed great satisfaction at the growing trade and economic ties between the two Countries.

They reaffirmed their commitment to enhance high-level exchanges and bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest including, trade and investment, migration and mobility and higher education.

Important regional and global developments were also discussed.

Separately, the prime minister held talks on the role of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in attracting foreign investors and investment opportunities for overseas Pakistanis while answering a question at Pathfinders Pakistan Breakfast in Davos.

Kakar is in Davos for an official visit from January 15 to 19, 2024 to participate in the WEF’s 54th Annual Meeting being held with the theme “Rebuilding Trust”.

The WEF is an annual gathering of government and corporate leaders for discussions on contemporary trends and challenges, developments shaping the world, and charting collective policy responses.
