ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Azadi March led by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) – which embarked on its way to Islamabad from Karachi on October 27 – has reached the Federal Capital as part of its endeavors to oust the incumbent government, especially Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The leadership of all opposition parties including Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Shahbaz Sharif will address the rally participants stationed near Peshawar Morr in Islamabad after Friday Prayer.

Meanwhile, different routes of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) have been blocked with containers; however, the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has prepared a Traffic Diversion Plan for commuters.

Islamabad Traffic Plan for November 1, 2019

Diversion Point:

  • There will be a diversion for the traffic in Red Zone from State Bank Chowk towards Radio Pakistan Chowk.

Alternative Route:

  • The motorists have been asked to use Constitutional Avenue or 7th Avenue, Jinnah Avenue & Margalla Road via Dhokri Chowk to reach Red Zone.

 

Diversion Point:

  • There will be a diversion for the traffic from Express Chowk, Jinnah Avenue towards D Chowk.

Alternative Route:

  • Margalla Road, Fazl-e-Haq Road, 7th Avenue, Jinnah Avenue and Faisal Avenue will be opened for the traffic.

 

Diversion Point:

  • There will be a diversion for the traffic from Khanna Pul, Expressway towards Zero Point.

Alternative Route:

  • The motorists coming from Rawat T Cross & Karal Chowk towards Islamabad will use Expressway, Khanna Pul, Lehtrar Road, Captain Naeem Tufail Shaheed Road, Park Road, Rawal Dam Chowk, Kashmir Chowk, Dhokri Chowk, Kashmir Highway & 7th Avenue Chowk to enter 7th Avenue.
  • While Murree Road from Kashmir Chowk will be used to reach Bhara Kahu and Murree.

 

 

Diversion Point:

  • There will be a diversion for the traffic from III Stop Expressway towards Zero Point.

Alternative Route:

  1. The motorists from Rawat T Cross will move towards New Islamabad Airport, Motorway and Peshawar via Expressway, Faizabad loop, IJP Road & Peshawar Road.
  2. Or from Karal Chowk, they will use Katchehry Chowk Rawalpindi, Saddar Road & Peshawar Road.

 

Diversion Point:

  • There will be a diversion for the traffic from Faizabad (Rawalpindi) towards Rawal Dam Chowk.

Alternative Route:

  • The motorists intending to reach Islamabad from Rawalpindi will use Expressway and pass through Karal Chowk, Khanna Pul, Lehtrar Road, Captain Naeem Tufail Shaheed Chowk, Park Road & Rawal Dam Chowk.
  • Also those coming from Rawalpindi to Islamabad will use Faisal Avenue via IJP Road, 9th Avenue Chowk, 9th Avenue loop, I-9 Service Road, Al Shifa Chowk and Garden Flyover.

 

Diversion Point:

  • There will be a diversion for the traffic from 7 Up Chowk towards Education Chowk, H-8.
  • There will be a diversion for the traffic from 9th Avenue towards Peshawar Morr Flyover, 9th Avenue.

Alternative Route:

  • The residents of I-10, I-9, H-9 and H-8 Sectors will return their homes via Excise loop H-9 using Education Chowk, Garden Flyover & Faisal Avenue.
