Ishratul Ebad no more part of MQM: Altaf Hussain

KARACHI, Pakistan: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has announced that the Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan is no longer the part of his party, adding that Ebad is the representative of the establishment.

In an interview with a private television channel via telephone from London, Hussain said that media should not present the Sindh governor as the MQM member anymore, and also asked his party workers not to expect any cooperation from Ishratul Ebad.

Hussain said that all extra judicial killings of the MQM workers took place during Ishratul Ebad’s era; however, neither the governor took any notice of them nor he condemned them.

The MQM Chief also criticized Ishratul Ebad for not condemning raids on MQM’s Nine Zero headquarters and party offices in Karachi by the Rangers paramilitary force.

Meanwhile talking to media, the MQM MPA Muhammad Hussain said that it is up to Ishratul Ebad to decide whether he wants to continue or he steps down.

The MQM lawmaker said that Ishratul Ebad had resigned from the MQM, the moment he became the Sindh governor in December 2012.

Muhammad Hussain said that if the party chief Altaf Hussain doesn’t trust someone, we all too do not trust that person anymore.
