ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly on Thursday adopted a unanimous resolution supporting the just struggle of the Kashmiris for their right to self determination, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

The resolution‚ tabled by JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman‚ expressed grave concern over the situation in Indian held Kashmir after the execution of Afzal Guru and demanded that his body must be handed over to his heirs.

It called upon India to stop brutalities in the Occupied Kashmir‚ end draconian laws‚ release all the illegally detained Kashmiris and allow human rights organizations to visit the territory.

The resolution further said that Pakistan will continue its political‚ diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiris in their just struggle for the right to self determination.

It called upon the United Nations to implement the resolution of the Security Council.
