ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday constituted a new bench to hear the post-arrest bail application of former president General (retired) Pervez Musharraf in judges’ detention case, Dispatch New Desk (DND) reported.

On Tuesday, a division bench of the IHC hearing Musharraf’s bail plea in judges’ detention case stood dissolved after one of the judges, Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui, refused to be a member of the bench.

Justice Siddiqui said a campaign was being run against him on social media with regard to the case which was why he could no longer be a member of the bench.

A newly constituted two-member bench consisting of Justice Riaz Ahmad Khan and Justice Anwar-ul-Haq Qureshi will hear the case tomorrow (Thursday).
