Elantra 1.6 Variant Details

In terms of looks, the new Elantra exactly looks the same as the earlier one. Most of the changes have taken place in the interior. 

Performance

Speaking of the performance, it has a 1.6 litre 4 cylinder petrol engine, this engine can make 127 horsepower (hp) and 155 Newton meters of torque. It also has a 6-speed automatic gearbox which sends power to the front wheel. 

Also, the new Elantra GL 1.6 has comparable characteristics to the GSL 2.0 except for lesser power and better fuel economy. Singapore’s automotive news portal named Oneshift declares that the GL 1.6 offers a 14 km/litre fuel economy for city and highway combined. This figure may vary on Pakistani roads.

However, Corolla is a household brand in Pakistan wherever Elantra has yet to establish its name in Pakistan. With that difference, the price of Hyundai Elantra seems a bit higher to capture the new market.
