How to Get a Driving License in Punjab?
You can apply for Private, LTV, and PSV licenses in Punjab via DLIMS. The first step is to get a learning permit. Here is what you need to do to get a learner’s permit.
- Original CNIC
- Copy of CNIC
- Ticket
After providing the above documents, you can get a learning permit valid for 6 months. The purpose of a learning permit is to allow a driver to learn driving and the fundamentals of traffic. The learner must gather all the knowledge and expertise during the six months to appear for a driving test. In case you need more time, you can apply for a renewal of the learner’s permit after the expiration period. Moreover, the driver must write “L” behind the vehicle, which is clearly visible to others on the road. In addition to that, a licensed driver must sit in the passenger seat to assist the learner while on the road.
How to Get a Private Driving License Using DLIMS Punjab
To get a Private Driving License, you must pass the driving test for a bike and car. An authorized staff member judges the driver for their understanding of traffic laws and operating the vehicle. Failing to clear the test may lead you to apply for the test again after a specific period.
