ISLAMABAD: The World Heart Day is being observed on Monday (September 29) across the world including in Pakistan under the theme ‘Create a Heart-Healthy Environments’.
The aim of the day is to inform people to become proactive about reducing heart disease and stroke which are the biggest cause of death worldwide.
The World Heart Federation created the World Heart Day in 2000 to remind people of the enormity of the problem and of ways to prevent cardiovascular disease related deaths.
The federation organizes awareness events including health checks, organized walks, runs and fitness sessions, and exhibitions in more than 100 countries.
