ABUJA: Nine polio vaccinators including eight women were shot dead by unknown gunmen while they were administering polio vaccinations in Nigeria’s largest northern city Kano on Friday morning, police said.
The victims were working for a government program established to vaccinate people across Nigeria. Police said that the killings are under investigation, adding that they have no suspects.
