KARACHI: As many as seven more people have been declared dengue patients in the city.

According to the Sindh dengue surveillance cell report, in the current week at least 17 more people were declared dengue patients, making the toll to 549 patients in the year.

Doctors told media that the mosquito causing the dengue fever becomes active in hot areas and Karachi’s weather condition favors the mosquito.

The doctors have advised the people to get anti mosquito spray; close windows from mosquitoes could enter home, cover all food items and cover water pots to avoid the disease.
