LAHORE, Pakistan: The Chief Minister Advisor on Health Khawaja Salman Rafiq on Monday said that the Punjab government was introducing comprehensive reforms to revolutionise health sector.

“Improved public health facilities are yielding desired results,” he said.

Talking to a delegation of doctors, nurses and para-medics, Salman Rafiq said, special steps were being taken for attaining targets fixed for improving health facilities.

Besides, he said that provision of life saving drugs at basic health centres, attendance of medical officers and concerned doctors had been focused. He said that special attention was being paid for making basic health centres of far-flung areas more effective.

He said that huge allocation had been made for upgradation of 720 basic health centres. He said that the government’s main focus was to improve primary healthcare.

The advisor urged the delegation to work attentively and efficiently as serving ailing humanity was a nobel cause.
