ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The polio vaccination campaign has entered its fourth day, covering 115 districts across the Country, according to the Ministry of National Health Services.
By the end of the third day, nearly 17.3 million children have been successfully vaccinated against polio.
The Prime Minister’s Focal Person for Polio Eradication Ayesha Raza Farooq emphasized that substantial measures are being implemented to eradicate the poliovirus.
“Under the Prime Minister’s leadership, we are executing a comprehensive strategy to achieve polio eradication,” she stated.
“In the coming months, 3 to 4 high-quality campaigns will play a crucial role in eradicating polio,” she emphasized, adding that rigorous efforts are ongoing to prevent the spread of the virus.
Ayesha Raza Farooq called on parents to extend their full support to polio workers, who are making door-to-door visits to ensure a healthy future for children.
“Polio Frontline workers are our true heroes, steadfast in their mission to protect children from lifelong disability, even in the most difficult situations. Their vital efforts are recognized and deeply valued by the entire nation,” she stated.
