The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) is a leading teaching hospital of Pakistan, and the largest tertiary care hospital in Islamabad.

It is sprawled over an area of 140 acres, and has nearly 1,300 patient beds across more than 27 medical specialties.

Auction of the Parking Lot in PIMS

The parking areas in the PIMS Hospital were auctioned and the contract was awarded to the M/s Saviour Security Private Limited through an open bidding process.

The contract duration is of two years with effect from (w.e.f) November 24, 2022 with monthly rent of Rs 261,000 per month.

Parking Fee in PIMS

The parking fee being charged for different vehicles especially in emergency of PIMS, as given below, are reasonable & affordable:

  • Mini Bus & Truck: Rs 100
  • Wagon & Hiace: Rs 80
  • Car Rs: 40
  • Motorcycle: Rs 20
  • Car Lifter Charges: Rs 300 per vehicle

The said parking fees system not only ensures safety of vehicles being parked there but also ensures that no overcrowding of vehicles happens in-front of emergency.

Proposal to waive of Parking Fee in PIMS

There is no proposal under consideration to waive the parking fee in the hospital as its management considers the parking fee affordable and reasonable.
