HealthKPK govt decides to make recruitments in Health department through NTS: Minister

PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government on Tuesday principally decided to make all types of recruitments except class-IV in the projects and programmes running under the health department through National Testing Service (NTS).

It has also been decided to computerize all the official records and day to day business of the projects in health sector, said a press release issued.

The decision was taken in a high level meeting held here with Provincial Senior Minister for Health, Shahram Tarakai in the chair.

The meeting reviewed in detail matters related to the funds allocated for these projects and its utilization status.

The chair directed all the project directors to make sure that the set targets of their respective projects in terms of fund utilization are achieved cent per cent and said that individual performance of each project would be monitored regularly and in case of unsatisfactory performance the concerned project directed will immediately be removed from his post.

Shahram Tarakai also directed the project directors to ensure utmost transparency and meritocracy in financial matters and recruitments procedures of these programmes.

The chair further directed the project directors to submit all their SNEs (Schedule of News Expenditures) to the finance department with two week period time and immediately advertise the already created vaccines so that recruitment process could be started without any delay.

Besides Secretary Health Dr. Yousuf Jamal and Director General Health, Dr. Pervez Kamal, all the heads of various projects/programmes running under the department and other high ups attended the meeting.

These projects/programmes included; Social Health Protection Programme, Independent Monitoring Unit, Routine Immunization Programme, Establishment of Blood Transfusion Centres, National Programme for Family Planning & Primary Healthcare, Mother & Child Healthcare Programme, TB Control Programme, Lady Health Workers Programme, Roll Back Malaria Programme and the like.
