ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Islamabad Dental Hospital set up a Camp at the National Press Club (NPC) in Islamabad on Wednesday to conduct free examination of patients for dental treatment.
The Camp was established as part of “Community Outreach Program” organized by the Department of Community Dentistry Islamabad Institute of Dental Education & Allied Sciences (IIDEAS), established under the wings of Islamabad Medical & Dental College.
The Project Director Dr Khursheed Ahmad headed the Camp at which family members of journalists and they themselves went through the dental checkups conducted by dentists.
Dentists gave them awareness about healthy teeth and gums. They also provided them information with regard to various dental diseases such as oral cavity.
Likewise, dentists also emphasized the importance of diet, nutrition and oral hygiene methods as for treatment. They said that healthy teeth and gums were essential for prevention against heart and other diseases.
Recognized by Pakistan Medical & Dental Council, Ministry of Health and affiliated with Bahria University, IIDEAS is aiming to be a top class dental institution.
It has a multi-faceted service mission encompassing education, patient care and community outreach.
The NPC President Shakeel Anjum, former President Tariq Chaudhry and other senior journalists were also present at the Camp.
