ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Cabinet has lifted the ban on the export of Tyvek Suits, the last of the banned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) items in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak.
The Meeting of the Federal Cabinet held in Islamabad on Tuesday with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the Chair to discuss the overall political and economic situation of the Country.
In its meeting, the Cabinet also lifted the ban on anti-malarial drugs including Chloroquine and Hydroxychloroquine which are being used as a part of the COVID-19 treatment around the world.
In this regard, the notifications will be out in a few days.
In a statement, the Prime Minister’s Adviser for Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood said that this has been possible because of our government’s efforts to effectively control the spread of COVID-19 in the Country, as well as our industry, which has been able to adjust according to the new opportunities amid the outbreak.
