ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: More than 760,000 passengers have so far been screened for Coronavirus upon their arrival in Pakistan, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Health Dr Zafar Mirza said.
While presiding over a meeting of the emergency core group in Islamabad on Thursday, Dr Zafar Mirza said that the screening is being ensured at the airports and the ground routes, and added that 21,360 passengers were screened for Coronavirus on March 4, 2020.
The Special Assistant said that every possible step is being taken to cope with the Coronavirus. He said that the federal and provincial governments and other institutions are fully ready to meet the challenge and protect the people from the deadly virus.
Dr Zafar Mirza said that separate rooms are being allocated in the hospitals. He added that only five Coronavirus cases have so far been reported in the Country.
