PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The dengue-stricken Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has so far completed dengue tests of 23,680 persons, officials in Anti Dengue Response Unit KPK told on Wednesday.
So far 21 patients have died of dengue epidemic across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province especially in Capital Peshawar this year.
Talking to the state-run news agency in, officials said that dengue tests were conducted in different hospitals, basic health units and diagnostic laboratories in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Officials said that doctors and paramedical staff have completed dengue tests of 23,680 persons in various hospitals and diagnostic centres till Tuesday last and 5,018 patients were fully recovered and were sent home.
They said that about 5,613 patients were tested positive during screening of their bloods tests.
Officials further said that since Tuesday last, the number of affected patients has mounted to 8,018 while 381 patients were being treated in different hospitals of the province.
